SAFE is partnered with the Canadian Mental Health Association – Middlesex (CMHA)
The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) was founded in 1918 and is one of the oldest voluntary organizations in Canada. Each year, they provide direct service to more than 100,000 Canadians through the combined efforts of more than 10,000 volunteers and staff across Canada in over 120 communities.
As a nation-wide voluntary organization, the CMHA promotes the mental health of all and supports the resilience and recovery of people experiencing mental illness.
CMHA branches across Canada provide a wide range of services and support to people who are experiencing mental illness and their families. One of the core goals of these services is to help people with mental illness develop personal tools to lead meaningful and productive lives.
SAFE relies on the physical premises and infrastructure of the CMHA as well as their promotional resources and referrals to engage clients. SAFE hopes to strengthen the relationship by alerting participants and the general public about their services and by encouraging donations.
